Turning 65 and Ready to Enroll in Medicare? Explore Your Medicare Plan Options.

Differences Between Medicare Plans

It is important to recognize that Original Medicare doesn’t cover everything. The following Medicare plan options may help you cover more out-of-pocket costs to reduce expenses.

Medicare Supplement Insurance, also known as a Medigap plan, can help cover costs that Original Medicare does not, like coinsurance and deductibles. Medicare Supplement Insurance helps supplement your Original Medicare plan, so you must have Medicare Part A and Part B to a get Medigap plan. Benefits can include no network restrictions, coverage when you travel, and more predictable costs.

Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C, is a Medicare health plan offered by independent insurance companies that contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to provide your Part A and Part B coverage, and in some cases, additional benefits.
